The Forest Guest House in Kerry, Newtown, Wales is a lovely Manor in the countryside of Mid-Wales....the accomodations are lovely and extremely comfortable and the grounds are magical with grazing sheep, roosters and horses and lovely gardens and landscaping all around! Our stay was the highlight of our two week trip! Paul and Michelle are gracious innkeepers and their special touches include organic foods served at breakfast and many fairtrade items used in the kitchen and the provided personal amenities....we enjoyed having complimentary inernet access and satellite TV available to us and our king bed was comfortable and our room extremely spacious!! Michelle is a veterinarian and the fact that they have pet boarding available is a wonderful service as well. The adjacent cottages are delightful for families and the children's play area and tennis courts are extras we have not seen in other guesthouse properties...this is a property of grand merit and one worth seeking out should your travels take you into the mid-Welsh countryside or border areas.
The bathtowels were large and plush and we appreciated having a kitchenette available to us to warm takeaway meals...all in all this was a 5 star experience and we will definitely return should we ever travel to Wales again!

Nothing is perfect in life but this place comes quite close for people who like to combine nature, quietness and subtle style.
