It’s a beautiful island, well-known as a seaside resort, with its fantastic beach and a romantic promenade along the lagoon. It offers many free-time activities, including fashionable shops, shopping centres, famous historic hotels, lovely Liberty villas, a beautiful golf course, a small aero-club, etc.
Our house lies exactly in the centre of the Lido of Venice, at only 3 minutes’ walk from Piazzale S. Maria Elisabetta, where all water services – water-buses (?vaporetti?), taxis, ferry-boats – arrive from and leave to Venice and the mainland. It is also about 5 minutes’ walk from the beach.
