This is quite possibly the PERFECT spot in Dubrovnik: easy to reach by public transportation (I came in on the ferry from Italy and the public bus came to the Pile Gate; from there just walk back up the slight hill to the Sesame Cafe, turn left and walk up through the park-like spot up the stairs, turn left again (not a hard left into the alley, but a slight left onto the road) and Apartment Lukre is in the multi-level dwelling with the gated garden on the left. Let them know what time you will arrive and they will meet you there with the keys. They live off-site. I was late but the neighbor called them for me.), a 5 minute walk (if that) from the old town, 5 minutes by foot from a beach (rocky but great) used primarily by locals, a great terrace for reading and sipping wine...and the list goes on.

Excellent location to the old town. Appartment is clean, spacious and has a nice balcony attached. Setting is in a nice quiet residential area. Livio and Marilyn are excellent hosts. They will pick you up from the airport if need be and this of course eliminates any hassle getting from airport to appartment. I will definitely stay there again and also would recommend the appartment to family and friends for a place to stay while in Dubrovnik.

Apartment Lukre is perfectly situated to reach all the sights of Dubrovnik on foot. It also has two charming beaches nearby and is close to the bus station. The accommodation is modern and clean and the terrace would have been nice to use if it had been warmer and not covered in snow! A main advantage for us was that there are no steps! We didn't see Dubrovnik in its best light as many of the restaurants were closed for the winter but we did find a gem in the Orhan, a lovely restaurant right by the bay which was the original harbour, just 5 minutes walk from the Apartment. The walk round the city walls is a must. A main attraction for staying in Apartment Lukre is the owner, Livio, who will transport you to and from the airport and enlighten you with his tales and knowledge of the City's history. All in all good value for money in an excellent location.

Room Lukre is a perfect place to stay if you are after a good-sized, clean room in a quiet street less than 5 mins walk from the Old Town. Nearby is a little stony beach with a lovely restaurant next to the water. The owner, Livio, who met us with the key is very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions for the area. I would reccommend Room Lukre.

Top ! Close to the center, beautiful view on the city, in a perfectly quiet residential area. This appartment is in an old mansion, but has been renewed to the best standards.
