I couldn't stay in this hostel because it was overbooked. We were not the only one.
When arrived to Split, we couldn't check in and take a shower cause we couldn't find the owner of a hostel. After hours of trying to find where the lady is, we were trying to get here on the phone but it was off.

MERI is a wonderful person..but we can't lived in the meri's appartment because there was OVERBOOKING.
But she helped us to find another place.

Ok, nice people. wouldnt recommend if you are scared of dogs, they have a masive one!! rooms good, and air conditioned

After almost 20hours of flight, I reached your accommodation with full expectancy. With your wonderful picutres on the website you made me expect a lot and I had no doubt about having fablulous time at your place. On arriving there, things unbelievable were waiting for me. There was no light at all, no airconditioner, wha't worse a shared bathroom (in your website you never mentioned it, I promise). No one could think of staying there even one night. My final choice was just leave out of your place, nowhere to go. One more thing, is it your policy not to return deposit money when the customer cancels it because of your poor service? It was getting dark and at the first night in a foreign country I had no other choice but to find any other place regardless of the price. You know what? That night I stay at the place of 200 euro. Do you think I'm a rich traveler? No, I'm just a backpacker. But what really matters me is not that big money. It's more than that. It's about my idea about your city, Split. Nothing good comes to my mind about your city only because of Rooms Meri. Right you Rooms Meri totallySPLIT the image of your city Rooms Meri. Do you really want to prosper your business and promote the image of your city? Then change everything in your place. Otherwise you should shut down your place and that's the only way left for you.

Meri's apartments was a little difficult to find, (it's off one of the squares in the centre of town, off Riva street) but when we found it, we were very pleased. While staying in the dorm room, we were the only occupants but the facilities were excellent; clean bathroom, full working kitchen. Meri is available twenty four hours in the apartment above for help.

Excellent location.

We liked it so much, we returned after we had been to Hvar and if I return to Split again, I would definately go back!

This was one of the most chilled, and friendly places we stayed. The couple that owned the place welcomed us well. We had a room that looked out into the palace and had air con. The shower was nice, and there was a good sized kitchen which we were able to use. The lady ( forgotten her name now) cooked us some lovely meals and filling breaky! The also have an amazing dog who was lovely, but she was kept away if back packers where not familiar with dogs. The also had the internet for free, air con in the rooms, clean linen and a washing service, which was very cheep!They provided us with maps and useful imformation! the apartments are very well located, just in the center of split. There are two one in the ground flor for 4 people or 6 (packed) with a tiny kitchen, and there´s another one in the second floor for 2/3 people with no kitchen, just a small fridge. She, the owner called Meri, told us that the apartment previously booked, the one on the second floor was busy the first night (altough we had made our reservation 1 month in advance thru hostelbookers and paid a deposit) and had to share the ground floor apartment with 4 french guys!!! the place was very small for so many people, not to mention we did not know them at all!!. the funniest thing was that she charged us the same for the first and the second night (already on the right appt.) She even felt offended for our complaint and did not keep our bags that day for a few hours. she´s a real swindler!!! be careful!!
