We enjoyed our stay at Bed and Breakfast Il Gelso with Massimo and Roberto. Both were excellent hosts who truly enjoy having guests in their B&B. The accommodations were exceptionally clean and we were encouraged to be comfortable. Roberto's breakfasts were excellent. Roberto is most friendly as is Massimo. You must have a car as the B&B is most definitely in the country where it is peaceful and quiet. Finding the location in the country can be confusing so a GPS is extremely important. Once you have found the B&B it is easier.

Capita di rado, quando si viaggia per vacanza, specie nel mese dsi agosto, di trovare un’accoglienza ed un trattamento così speciale ed accurato.
All’arrivo ci riceve Roberto una persona premurosa, discreta e sempre ma dico sempre disponibile ad ogni richiesta di informazione ed adare consigli per spiagge ristoranti e luoghi da Visitare. Purtroppo in questa recensione parlo solo di lui e non del suo socio Massimo , il quale dopo la prima conoscenza si è assentato per motivi di salute, ma dal primo approccio e dai saluti telefonici che sempre non mancava di lasciarci, abbiamo capito che anche Lui era una persona del tutto SPECIALE.
Una camera bella , pulitissima e sempre in ordine, peccato che essendo sprovvista di tende per via del sole si doveva tenere sempre gli scuri socchiusi, era presente comunque l’aria condizionata che provvedeva a raffrescare l’ambiente.
Il bagno a noi assegnato in via esclusiva era situato alla porta accanto alla camera da letto, scomodo per uscire in Déshabillé dalla camera da letto, ma comodo per la sua grandezza.
Ma al di là di queste piccole puntualizzazioni, Roberto ha sempre provveduto al nostro agio , in particolare con la splendida colazione, ricca di torte, marmellate d’arancia e mandarino deliziose, cornetti, frutta fresca e qualche piccola sorpresa come i pasticciotti freschi e le brioches .
Simpatici anche gli animali che popolano la casa. Mi è rimasa nel cuore BICE, una cagna dagli occhi tristi e schiva alle carezze che abita l’ingresso anteriore della casa. È dolcissima e paurosa ma dai suoi occhi si capisce quanto sia buona. E poi l’altro cane di casa Ercole Vispo e sempre alla ricerca di giochi.
Grazie per L’accoglienza e per il trattamento a Roberto e Massimo che spero nel frattempo stia bene ed a cui vanno tutti i miei auguri.
Se non si è capito consiglio vivamente di scegliere questa struttura.
